About Teract Technologies, Inc.

Teract Technologies, Inc. was founded in 2002 and is located in sunny Southern California. The company was established upon the vision of realizing the long sought dream of interactive storytelling and turning it into a commercial reality.

"Nowadays science fiction tales become a reality on a regular basis", says Mr. Ilan Mandel, the company founder and visionary, "parallel virtual worlds, as they are described in stories like The Matrix, eXistenZ and Neuromancer, already exist. Almost every household and person in the western world is somehow connected to the Internet. This phenomenon has already changed many aspects of our lives, and will soon evolve the way we entertain ourselves. We, the viewers, don't want to sit back and watch anymore - we want to lean forward and make a difference. We want to be IN the movies. Role Playing Movies make it possible".

Teract Technologies is developing the technology and skills required for the production of Role Playing Movies, also known as Teractives™. These computerized movies allow audience members to participate by controlling their own story characters and interact with the rest of the story world from within it.

Teract will take existing, proven and widely-spread technologies (PC, TV, and Internet) and business models (TV content, movies, and video games) to the next evolutionary level, and will capitalize on state-of-the-art technology and on enhanced audience experience.

Teract Technologies is in a seed stage and is expected to complete the prototype development within six to twelve months from funding. Simultaneously, Teract Studios - Teract's creative department - is seeking proof-of-concept by co-producing and co-developing new Teractives™ or "Teractivating" existing movies and TV series.
