Mr. Dan Mandel

Mr. Dan Mandel is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of diverse Israeli and international professional experience. His experience includes, in addition to managing his family firm in Haifa (Mandel & Mandel), audit of accounts, local or international taxation, design of international business structures and dynamics, capital markets and trusteeship roles, such as membership in boards of directors, assets management, arbitrations, Expert assignments for the District Court, etc. Mr. Mandel consults to managements and serves as Board Member in public organizations.

During 1999 - 2000, his firm merged into one of the leading accounting firms in Israel, (BDO Ziv Haft), and Mr. Mandel made himself available for further and new professional challenges.

As of 1999, Mr. Mandel holds the position of an Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Haifa and Northern Israel. Consequently, having identified the potential of business cooperation between the two countries, Mr. Mandel has founded ISCO – Israel Slovakia Cooperation Group. The missions of ISCO Group is to assist business firms in both countries, Israel and Slovakia, identify common interests, overcome differences of language and managerial culture, and support the process of structuring and crystallizing joint business ventures.

Mr. Mandel has also been extensively active serving in governing boards of non-profit organizations, engaged in cultural, educational, sports, welfare and other public activities. He is also a member of the Counseling Board to the Knesset Foundation for the Needy (a sub-committee of the Israeli Parliament).

Mr. Mandel completed his compulsory military service as an officer in the IDF Artillery Forces. He then served for twenty-two years as a reservist in the Artillery Forces, in field units and later in high-level Headquarters and served additional ten years in the IDF Spokesman Unit. Mr. Mandel retired in 1996 in the rank of a Major.
