Mr. Ilan Mandel
Prior to founding Teract Technologies, Inc. Ilan held positions of R&D Software Engineer (Israel) and Senior Application Engineer (US) with BackWeb Technologies, leading projects for companies such as HP, Compaq, Logitech, NBC, AC Nielsen, Siemens, Kodak, British Telecom and PwC. Between 1997 and 1998 Ilan freelanced as a Webmaster, Web Designer and Web Programmer, managing web projects for companies such as Sun Microsystems. Ilan holds a B.A. in Computer Science and another in TV and Cinema from the University of Tel-Aviv, Israel. During his university years he founded and edited Grip, the TV and Cinema Department quarterly magazine and directed, wrote, produced and participated in numerous television and movie productions. Ilan is a Captain in the Israeli Navy Reserve Forces. He graduated the Naval Academy first in his class as Distinguished Cadet. During his
six-year service he held different combat, educational and administrative roles and managed large-scale operations and projects. In his spare time, Ilan plays the piano and the guitar (he also
led a couple of musical bands), composes music and writes short stories and prose. |
